0300 numbers are the way forward as more people will have a mobile than a land line and most mobile packages dont allow free calls to 0800 numbers but will to 0300 numbers within your inclusive package

I would have thought a another local STD code or a number with the STD code of where you wish to target would be more effective.

I'm not a fan of 0800 numbers to be honest. Many of the less scrupulous tree firms and the like round me have 0800 numbers. This is so they don't have to have any home contact number either because they travel a lot or don't wish you to know where they live. I'm not saying everyone is like this who has 0800 numbers. I could see the appeal but not for me.

I hate ringing 0845 because it may be cheaper to ring from the other end of the country but not if you are next door and the owner of the number rakes money off. They also are not covered in your free minutes.
