Weird And Wonderful Wood Show 2011

Went along today with the family. Was a bit worried beforehand that there wouldn't be much to entertain a 2yr old but the workshop organizers seemed quite happy to accommodate her (although in practice she spent most of her time watching fish in the pond, playing with hula hoops and rolling down the steep hill!) Thoroughly enjoyable day, picked up a lot of useful information and had a play with a pole lathe which I've been wanting to do for ages.

Went yesterday :001_rolleyes: for a few hours, sorry to have missed you Andy

as has been said its a fantastic show with something for all ages, really good demonstrations and some great woodland products, I spent a lot of the time taking photos for ideas for milling projects and speaking to the people on the stalls who were really helpful and approachable

I will definatly being trying to get to this again in the future as there was so much for children to do  (even the wife and my folks had a good day! :thumbup1:)

Ok, I'll admit it, I need some help! My plan to have an array of forestry equipment has fallen by the waysde as its now out on site away working. So..... I need some help with other kit for either a static display or a working display (aerial such as a simple climb or rigging) We have some nice trees to play with, camping is available, and there is a bar nearby.:thumbup1:

Put me on!!
