i have one. basically does the same job as a hitch climber with one less hole so its really up to you if you need the 3rd hole or not(for redirects etc etc). Interestingly in some circumstances it seems to self tend better than a hitch climber, im putting this down to the angle it sits at although this is possibly down to my choice of hardwear etc. tending slack from the side isnt quite as smooth as a hitch climber as it doesnt have the rounded sides

Small micro pulley will do exactly the same job. Hitch-climber is just a really tidy version of the same thing,

Cheers i will grab one tomorrow hope i get it right been climbing the hard way for a long time have you got any pics of your set up.

I have the same view of Steve. It is basically a hc with a hole missing, but I find it easier, plus the gate on a petzl crab fits through the holes so it's less of a mindgake to sort things out.

 

For that, and it's awesome blue and black colouring, I use the stein!

sounds good and it is cheaper
