Firewood chainsaw?

Hi guys + gals,

I put this on the chainsaw bit but didnt get much response so thought I would ask here...

I'm looking for a new chainsaw, all it will be doing is firewood, beech, oak and larch. Nothing big really no more than 15"

I have a 029 farmboss at the moment and its a good saw, has just plodded along and got on with whatever I have thrown at it but I'm sure there is something more focused at "firewood" as such and just wondered if you could recommend anything?

Cheers

Ash

You need to tell us a budget really fella.

I use a Sthil MS390 for the majority of my fire wood processing work, rather than the standard 20" bar i currently have it running a 15inch bar and with this small bar setup it is very very torquey and flies through the timber. The MS390 will also run a 25" bar but thats oversized and not recommended for extended use.

Its all down to budget and if your buying new or used.

I also use a MS660 which is the muts nuts and my trusty old b&q pro 36cc lol
