My Predator 450 is the same. If the engine is off you cannot puch it, Its not a problem to be honest unless of course the engine stops!!!

 

our rayco is the same,,, we loaded it up on the truck one day,,, got to the job and it wouldnt start,,, but there is a bypass valve to maualy push it only if the engine isnt running

When GreenMech were bringing in the Laski 450 (now badged up as Predator) we had a "ring pull" in place of a wheel stud which, when pull out, disengaged the drive so it could be mauled about with engine in "quiet" mode!

Yes it does represent 'some' of my experiences but I am really getting used to it.

I've not had it jump back though.

I am now in the habit of stopping to level the ground before advancing.

I do find the pivot action really easy as I am a right lightweight at 62kg.
