quite a fun one this,the extent of the cavity inside was huge.the site is being redeveloped for use as a offices and yard for a surfacing company.i suggested felling but this wasnt an option for the moment

it wasnt my job,i was just asked to subby on it by a landscaping firm, but on arivall and the proximity of the existing and new targets i thought i should suggest felling due to the size of the cavity which was unseen when the tree was looked at

the scar down the side was seen but the actuall hole was under long grass.i was shown the job by a photo on the guys phone.it was a very small part of a large contract for the contractor and i think it was a case of..

'can you do something about that oak'...

'yeah il send someone up...anyway what else do you want doing£££££'

:lol: i did a sycamore last month, the client hadnt noticed that from the back it was riddled with white rot right up the trunk and into the main scaffold branches. It amazes me how pepole can see yet dont see!

 

 

 

unseen when the tree was looked at! did they look from the road?
