Pics of fungi i have found whilst out with me mutts.

 

1/2/4 : Polyporus squamosus

3 : Ustulina deusta

5-9 : Ganoderma cf. australe (on Quercus robur ?)

10 : Ganoderma cf. pfeifferi (on Quercus ?)

11 : soft : Mycoacia cf. uda, tough : Hyphodontia/Kneiffiela species, tree species ?

Is the first photo from the same tree (species) as the following photo's of Inonotus dryadeus are from ?

 

if your asking cos you think (me too0 that its chicken in the first shot whilst I have not seen fistulina/dryadeus together I have, even today, seen these two together.

Nope different tree. But trees are only about 50 metres apart. The one with I. dryadeus is going to be deadwooded and reduced in the very top with coronet cuts where possible.:thumbup:
