includes the air aswell for that price.

if they want solid wood stacked, then that takes time and labour, so it would cost more!!

i advertise mine as " a cubic meter of loose split wood, tipped off on delivery"

if they want it barrowed/carried and stacked on delivery then they pay for that too.

i think its a sign of the times too, last few years people would probably rather pay the "lowly woodman" to barrow or stack it rather than get their hands dirty, this winter of discontent they will be out there in the green wellies and barbour to save a tenner towards the extortionate mortgage and energy bills!

i usually get " can you stick it all round the back in the shed?"

yes love will cost you £12 per m3 plus an extra £8 for not pre booking the stacking service before i deliver

" what??? the coal man does it for free!!!"

yeah, i aint the coalman and mine aint in bags!!

another one is

" ah i see the barrow is on the back, can you just take it down the side of the house, down the back of the garden and stack behind the shed?"

certainly sir, that will cost an extra £30

"just tip it where you are my man"

ok heres a question for you

why is it that people who have logs for a fire in the house, store them as far away form the house as possible?????

I do that. Tend to bring a bag down every few days, about a third of a cube, from the top of the garden. I must have a few hundred pounds of split wood at the bottom of my garden now.
