I thought queenstown was just Auckland in the South? Some cracking pics there Drew, especially that one from up the mountains. Always thought it was probably the most picturesque cricket ground down there. Must get my backside down for a look see one of these days.

its a must ian. That pic if the start of the grand traverse over the remarkables range, not really possible to do now as it was all snow covered the day after i did it.2000m drop next to where im stood.Dont think i could live in q town due to the transient nature of everyone and its also real expensive. BUT its gob smacking views over the lake and surrounding ranges make up for it. Theres jobs going down there if people want to work, queenstown and wanaka.

Reckon it would be a cool place for a long holiday but not sure about working there. Same reason; transient usually means the place has an odd feeling except for peak holiday periods when it's bustling. Mind you; the less people the better for me. Hoping for a trip down to Nelson at xmas so might see if I can take a few days out for a visit.

You trying to say us Poms all like the cold? Meh, OK you're probably right. Keeps those bleedin crickets quiet at least. Shouldn't mind a cushy council job down there I reckon, I'd spend most of the time with the camera out.

Bet you're glad you didn't go back to the UK now eh adam?
