hi all yet another new member to arbtalk!

 

been in the trade for over 5 years now, and just recently gone out on my own.

 

have had a chipper on "loan" for the last 4 months but im now looking to invest in my own. am preferably looking for a twolf 150dhb or a 190dhb ( if the money is right!). so if anyone knows of one or has one id be very interested, im based in ireland but originally from bournemouth, happy to travel over the water for the right machine.

hi nick work out your budget and spend on the best you can afford rather than scrimpin on on a lesser machine its worth it in the long run ....

ive waited this long to save a bit more i had some money when i first started but only enough to buy and old dog of a chipper. have got around 9k to spend which from looking around should get me a machine around the 2008 mark with low hours hopefully!

consider putting down a deposit and taking out finance on a new machine.

I did this, got a brand spanker which gave me piece of mind about its integrity (and warranty)... and for £213 a month (which believe me is nothing compared to what you save by having it) and i own it at the end!

Made perfect sense to me.... consider it for yourself mate, as the initial deposit may be a lot less than your looking to spend up fro a 2nd hand machine!

looked into tw finance but i said when i started up on my own i only really want to spend it when ive got it, i know its small money but i know id end up on the slippery slope to having everything on credit!

£5k plus vat. Year 2000 model, it's an Entec with Retro fit controls and no stress. Not sure of the hours, I would need to take a look. When I looked at it, it started and chipped faultlessly, so I bought it.

It came from Orange Plant approx 2 years ago.

It is in better condition than most 2 year old machines I have seen.
