I love my Ms271

Good on Fuel

Cheaper then a ms260 by £100 Ive been running a 16inch bar on mine for a few months and has done what i have needed it to do.

Ive got a 20inch bar as well Dose not like it from cold but when the saws done a 1hrs work its fine

I like the air filter on it Really dose catch everything Only down side is its a little heavy then a 260heavier But feels like its got more power.

Always worked and ive never had a problem with it yet Touch wood

ive used toms 271, its good, the revving seems funny though, when you take your thumb off it holds the revs up for part of a second, then drops them down to idle, its an intelligent management system so its handy if your snedding, no waiting for those first revs to pick back up.

its a tad heavy for the power it gives out, but i do rate it well.

13" bar for snedding up, and itll be a great addition.

good comments!! would you recomend it over a 260 or 261???

Thanks Ollie

thats a tough question, ive had a 260 since 2007, not used a 261 so no comments for that.

Although i love my 260 with its 13" bar, great for snedding up, light weight and good enough power. if i had to choose i would take the 260, its robust and not much can go wrong, although it likes to destroy its chain brake parts, done it twice in just under a year, but not an expensive fix.
