Hi All,

I am new to the forum having lurked (as a member) for a while.

I had 45 m3 of Beech cordwood delivered for firewood and decided to have a go at carving - thought I would share a picture of Kitty with you. She took me about 1 day using a Husky 350 with standard bar/chain and small angle grinder for smoothing.

Going to stain her white and then Tung Oil.

Before you ask, I live in France and run seasonal holiday accommodation on our smallholding - Kitty will live in the children's play area. I carved the Gnome for the same reason. I'm not a weirdo with a children's icon fetish http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/images/smiliesmodern/lol.gif

shameful waste of a good bit of firewood though:sneaky2::001_tongue:

Thanks Fella's

I've done done just enough to get bitten by the bug, only to realise I've processed all the firewood except for 1 last 2m log :001_huh:

Have to wait for the autumn now before I get another load.
