No, didn't mean that at all! I meant that in the context of the thread there was no way the timing could be messed up unless components were mounted wrongly i.e. flywheel not keyed, coil sellotaped into another position

sorry to cause a debate, hedgecutter now running like a dream, forgot to mention that i put a carb on from another machine, adjusted this up and went within 3 pulls
