Assorted timbers needed

For a trade show I am doing later in the year I want to put together a set of 20 seating cubes to go around a 5m table I am taking to the show. To date I have only made oak ones but for this show it would be good to have at least one or two of as many different timbers as possible.

So if any of you have logs which would yield something 40cm x 40cm by 100cm then I can get two out of that, could cut them to 50cm long to make them easier to move. I'll come and collect and pay in a about 6 weeks time assuming you've got some of interest. Probably going to be more economic for me if you have at least 2 - 3 different types so I dont use hideous amounts of fuel driving about. But if its something unusual will probably come anyway.

Timbers of interest include ash, elm, sycamore, yew, walnut, lime, sweet chestnut, beech, poplar and london plane. Anything else such as fruit woods would be good but I guess likely to struggle for size. Also likely to get both ash and olive ash, oak and burr oak etc. if offered it

Thanks

Ashman, moving at the moment and so between, Ashford Kent and Oxford. I have to travel quite a lot for work so if your England or wales chances are I'll be reasonably close at some point.

Peter, sounds good. Has the walnut got much colour? How much we talking roughly? Or send me a message if you prefer.

I've been offered cherry and sycamore today also, so looks like I have already got those sorted.

After major delay I am getting on with this again now and have the money ready to buy anything of interest. Got a big ash burr, oak and walnut. looking for a variety of timbers particularly burry or pippy stuff. Going to turn alot of it into stools around 30-35cm diameter. Could include bark patches if necessary. Travel around alot but if you have something particularly interesting will get it collected by a pallet firm. Preferance for more decorative woods.

Thanks,

James

I have a single stool to make for a client and need a piece of ash (no olive) to yield a turning blank 32cm across (octagonal) by 50cm. I can buy the whole log if necessary. Just want to get the job out the way now so keen to get it asap rather than wait for me to come across something.

I am in Kent but regularly around London/sussex/up to Norwich
