Steve's review of the Drift innovation X170 Helmet Cam tells you everything except for video quality and other new features of the HD, like time lapse recording (e.g. mounting on a tripod and recording a working day's activity to be played back in a minute)

I have the x170 and I'm very pleased with it, it works very well in trees, very robust, good'ish sound quality, wind noise is a problem as you'll notice in the vid, but when you're stationary its quite clear. Picture quality is good, with a slight effect of looking out of a goldfish bowl (gives a wider view)

Have heard the hd version is excellent, especially for £270 (mine cost £200 from a stall at the iom tt last year)

This video was taken with the x170 attached to my motorcycle helmet using the fittings that came with it, it is me on my 1200 bandit going over the mountain part of the circuit, hitting 140mph on the straights. for those that don't know, during tt week the mountain part of the circuit is one way only, that's why all the traffic cones are there, to mark where it starts and to make some spots safer, also once your out of built up areas and you pass the end of speed limit sign, there is just that, NO SPEEDLIMIT

I know have the HD version and I'm getting to grips with it, seems good so far.

Mines not the "extreme" version. What else do you get with that? The standard version has everythign you need IMO
