I think its great in the right environment (and for creating its own ecosystems etc) and would love to have a job like that to do some day - for the right reasons.

 

One question: If there is a public target how do you decide where to reduce too? The pics still show potential for regrowth into a relatively large crown giving a higher lever arm than a lower reduction (given the risk of base decay must be high).

The lever arm is reduced, the potential for decay is monitored.

 

That target does not have a particularly high footfall.

 

If it had, the overall size and height would be adjusted accordingly and reduced further.
