i blocked it out with a stihl 341 and 15" bar, did the detail work with a stihl 180 and 12" dime bar

 

dime bar!! amazing what you can do with a chocolate covered toffee bar.:001_tongue:not heard that one before

 

i'm guessing thats one of those narrow tipped bars

 

do you have to have the chain loose on those?

yes, its the measure of the tip of the bar, same size as an american dime i believe....the larger option is a quarter bar, again, same size tip as a quarter.

the chains run very loose.....also a little petrol mixed in the the chain oil.

i would like to have a go at carving myself does anyone know how much a carving bar and chain costs? what wood is that steve western red cedar?:001_smile:
