my truck v reg mazda does the same so took it to my mechanic friends and he said just dont put it on full lock! ......... mines soming on the bum stops or something

I would take back to the firm who sold the vehicle. Has it oversize tyres? Salt in springtime often causes problems on brakes/springs/exhausts.

Firm is based in Dorchester so not too far to travel. We jetwashed it today at the yard with the near side front and offside rear tyres on logs so we can clean the suspension components easier. Going to see if it clunks when it dries out.

Its normal, believe it or not. It doesn't sound good though. I took mine to my mechanic and he said don't worry about it, maybe just don't put it on full lock so often if you don't have to.

I've had 2 rangers, just put a blob of grease on the steering bump stops, it often needs doing between service intervals . That should cure it.
