Hi there. i recently purchased a hitch climber pulley and have been having trouble using it with my rope which hasn't got a spliced eye at the end. My knot keeps catching on my friction hitch stopping it from grabbing my line,

Any suggestions apart from getting a different line. like which knot etc????thanks

what termination knot are you using? chunky ones such as the figure of eight do get in the way. maybe try something like the fishermans (from the doublefishermans that is used to make the prussic loop). there's a host of other one though.

You could tie a figure eight or bolwine with a long loop. That way the actual knot is higher up away form the HC. Add some rubber rings and make the loop closed at one end and your sorted.

i used to have this problem when i dint have a spliced eye. i just used to clip my karabiner back onto my sliding d ring. and even tho i have a splised eye i still do this.
