Chipper Bearings

Is this the right bearing for my tw125

 

NSK 6205du

 

Seams to cost £3 and has not lasted 6 months in my chipper i know the company that did it charged me alot more than that, this company also did not change my main bearing even tho asked.

 

any info appreciated. My old man used them and his bearings collapsed within 3 months

depends where you get them try to get an SKF or RHP bearings there good !

 

They wont cost vast amounts there is such a mark up on bearings its outragous !

 

also have a chat with the bearing guys there may be a different seal type that would be better suited to the aplication maybe !

 

i know i have changed some rubber seaqled ones for metal seald ones for rough use they keep out muck and rubbish better in some apps !

Get the best quality bearings you can get, and you need 2 off 6205 2rs c3 for the nose and 1 off 6208 2rs c3 for the rear

A lot of bearings used in machines are standard bearings that equipment manufactures give their own part number and charge a fortune for.
