Oak Reduction

This is a tree owned by a housing association. My advice on two seperate occasions was to leave well alone, but after 4 years of complaing the residents got the tree reduced! Was it worth it? Can you call it topped?

I have the curse of "perfect eye."

 

I can walk into a home and my eyes first go to any pictures hanging on the walls. If they're even 1mm off balance, I need to adjust it.

 

So, when I see something that just isn't quite balanced, it drives me nuts....

 

Don't worry, I'll be doing a few jobs here shortly that I will post photo's of,, then you can bust my chops all you want over my workmanship....

It's a tree! Draw that line on the first uncut pic.. Trees are not perfect or uniform and you can't make a tree perfect and cut to growth points.

 

When I reduce a tree at first glance you should not notice it's been done, i have NEVER seen an oak that looks like a mushroom. They have bits sticking out. It is lifted higher on one side due to phone lines and street light views but cutting to make it perfect would have left big holes and over exposed areas.
