What do you reckon you can comfortably process on your Hakke 2 x in a day?

depends on the cord. 8 - 10" beech cut to 1m lengths with two of us we have done 6cu an hour. Get bent knotty ash or oak and it can get down to 2 cu an hour. Small 3-4in stuff 2cu hr max. Most machines seem to work best 2" under there max capacity.

Hi, its Stephen from Riko and if you are still looking for a processor then feel free to ask for details on our WP30 or 36. We have a new depot just opened at Tockwith, near Wetherby in Yorkshire. Webb site is http://www.alpinetractors.com . If you want to see one working just contact me via the Webb site or call the head office on 01420 487300. Even if you dont buy one at least you will have something to compare with.

We have POSCH 300 proccessor, its a great bit of kit alot quicker than chainsaw crosscut machines.

Its done over 300 ton this winter, the 12 ton split is the business you cant stop it! Build quality is in a differnt class to palax etc they only weigh about half a ton, only made for softwood. Posch are not the cheapest machines but are the best on the market. Wilsons are pretty good to deal with :thumbup1:

Got to disagree with you my palax weighs 2 tonnes and 16 ton splitter ,got put off posch at apf when it got stuck a few times on knotty oak it is no good building bigger processors if you do not up the splitting power .There are a lot of older palax machines out there still doing a good job .Mine has cut 1500 cube a winter for the last 3 years only needed 1 set drive belts and the blade sharpening once a season.Yes it came from caledonian and they are very good.

Cheers Chris.
