Hi everyone i been given the job to have a look at vans being turn into a tree truck. It can t be over 3.5 ton. We work as a 2/3 man team. If anyone got a good tuck with great storage for saws and kit please share. ideas. Also whats better crew cab or single cab etc. Pictures of tree trucks would be very help full. Thanks

I do some climbing for a guy who has a tipmaster body. They are very well made, and the GRP they make the bodies with is surprisingly tough stuff. his truck is nearly 3 years old now and still looks as new.

 

I'd avoid a crew cab unless its an absolute must....it eats into your load space and weight carrying abilities too much.

I have measure a crew cab and a single cab transit back and there was only about 26 cm shorter. I thought a crew cab because you can rip out the seats and have storage for saws and kit. How good are the roller shuttering what you have between the cab and tipper? What do you drive transit or daily?
