i'd like to try one on my big stihl clearing saw, at the mo i use the stihl mulching head, its awsome!

 

My mates got one on his big stihl clearing saw, and reckons its better than the mulching blades, just be aware the chains really fling debris about. I copped a lovely bruise yesterday when I clipped a house brick in the brambles.

Just remember the speed that the heads are going and a part of the chain flies off and you are anywhere near joe public :-(

You don't get this with a zip cord line which will also take out bramble.

good point porky, but this is why I listed this product under forestry. Of course, do your r/a, decide which head for which job. I have yet to find a strimmer line that will strim dense bramble all day long, and I think the chain is safer than a blade if you hit a hidden obstacle. It is another tool in your armoury, much of the time I expect a strimmer line or blade would be preferred.
