Nylons got a hell of a recoil when it snaps. Cycles to failure are lhigher than a prop and nylon looses strength when wet. Nylon does wear a little better.

I like a poly cover over nylon core rope for rigging.

 

I might consider investing in trucking tarps. I have enough 20 oz tarp cover an entire dripline, call the local trucking tarp repair shop see what scrap you can get and then you don't have to worry to much about the ropes and the clean up is sweet and easy just gather the brush and flip and roll the tarps all onto one.

I hate raking and my blower leaves the site spotless.
