Teeth carbide tips

Im after some teeth to braise onto the carriers multi tip they have been sharpend to the end of there life , im sure it must be cheaper to re-tip than buy new ones , anyone know where these can be got?

don't think you'll be able to re-tip them if you have sharpened them a lot because you will have ground off the 'seat' for the plate.

 

ive seen some on ebay some time ago not sure if they are still there

I.ve just bought some from http://www.hardmaterials.net/tree-stump-cutters.asp but as arbormaster says if youve ground down the steel there might not be enough to braze the tungsten on to.

At £1.50 odd a tooth it might not be cost effective, how much do you pay for the multitip teeth?

Theres re-tipping,then theres real re-tipping,its not as easy as it seems!

You would probably be better off buying new teeth tbh. By the time youve bought the teeth,flux,silver solder and oxy/acetylene I doubt you would be saving much if anything. As A-lopa says it aint that easy to get it right, ive lost a few tips in the past that i havent brazed properly

Just dragging this up since I seem to be losing more tips than its worth is it easy flo flux that you use?
