ISA/ETW Transfer

I read on the ETW website that if anyone holds ISA Cetified Arborist and ISA Treeworker certificates they can getthe European Tree Worker without sitting any examinations... just pay the fee and they send you the certification! I emailed them and filled out their transfer forms 3 TIMES in the last 7 months, and i have heard nothing back at all. Pretty disappointed with them, anyone else had similar problems? How the hell do you get hold of these people? :thumbdown:

Hi,

Just so I not missing anything you have contacted EAC??

There is an agreement between the ISA & EAC that does indeed allow the recognition of each others qualification so;

ISA Certified Arborist + ISA Tree Worker = European Tree Worker = ISA CA & ISA TW

if you are ISA you need to apply to EAC, and visa versa. In your case please refer to EAC via the following link

EAC -

Any problems, I know a man......

Hope this helps.

The EAC office has been in touch with Sciadopitys twice, but had no reply. Last time was in October. Sounds like a case of poor communication. They are trying again as I write. Their enquiry centered around the fact that your ISA CA cert was about to run out and therefore your ETW cert would only be valid until the end of 2010. They asked if you would like to wait until your ISA cert was renewed and thus get full value from your 3 year ETW cert. If anyone ever has a problem with a transfer or any other EAC business approach your national EAC representative first - to be found on the EAC website EAC -. They are there to help :-)

Today someone from EAC forwarded me a response they wrote to my email address in October! It never arrived in my inbox, but i have seen proof that they did respond to me! Very strange, perhaps my hotmail account put it in the JUNK folder for some reason! Anyway, thanks to all who helped me get to the bottom of this! I will contact EAC again to start the transfer process once i have renewed my ISA Cert Arb which expired after 3 years at the end of last month!! BTW... just out ofinterest, Do i get a card and/or a certificate for the ETW??
