Look like very scabby old honey fungus to me. Check for bootlaces around buttresses near ground level.

On Ash its more likely to be Pholiota.

My thought would be a degrading flammulina velutipes. Due to a the cluster and colouring.

Could be. Shame the fungi are so splatted.

 

In terms of resistance it may be relative- I've seen plenty of ash with honey fungus.
