Not a clue what this old fruiting body is......found today on a vet oak.:confused1::confused1:

 

any hints would be much appreciated........

Oak pip perhaps.

did think that........will possibly send a sample to the ecologist in the park.......he deals with all the red list data stuff and general fungi records.

How big is this bracket sean. How many mils is the tube layer?

approx 3 and half inches left to right......tube layer approx 5/6 mill

I think it's pip.

 

Size, location, habitat.

 

all leads to it.

 

 

But we've been there before. :001_rolleyes:

 

 

 

 

 

Have you got a grid reference for it sean, or could you get one?

 

If it is a pip Oak, it will more than likely be on Frdbi
