I there it depends on what y mean by taking on a contract . If y ate just going to be working foe someone then you you will need to do your pts track safety and have your saw tickets . If it's an actual contract to carry out the works as a company then I don't know the situation with that but am sure someone will be along soon with an answer for you .

All the best littletree .

depends if your taking it straight fron network rail then you have to be a link up approved contrctor. if your just workin for a company then as last fella said you need to be pts for starters. you would also need a coss/site warden. paperwork involved nowadays is a nitemare especially since its all been changed yet again. good luck with it and make sure your price is good and expect the unexpected, cos there is no corner cutting

any work is welcome work:thumbup1:

The guy above me is right the paperwork is a killer! The bueracraucy is unbelievable! I was running a DeVeg job in Wales last year working on 6 hour nightshifts and out of 6 hours we would get 2-3 hours work done. Put us well behind. You literally have to price and plan to the hour! Get a good one and you can make money get a bad one and you will never want another railway contract again. . . AVOID FOUNTAINS LIKE THE PLAGUE!
