I put a few Hazel binders in the gate to tighten the joints up, make it a bit more stock proof, make it look a bit more rural and save on screws/fastners which has worked for now. Not sure if they will stay tight during the summer.

Hard to say until we actually sell one. A softwood 6' five bar gate is around £75, I think the selling point for this the fact its made from Ash and it's from sustainable woodland in Shropshire so I guess around £125.

 

Not really aimed at farmers but more like garden centres. There are four gardens centres within a mile of my house and various farm shops and boot sales.
