been back over the field today,retook pics of the large ash though the limb hole[this time camera] see what you think,1st ones the best[i think]

also theres some of a birch,which is in the same fence line as the large fallen one i,ve just cut up,looks like this one has rotted and broken off half way up and then regrowth.

also a small gnarly ash.

these birch are at the bottem of a steep field,that can get very wet,thinks thats why they are all rotting?
