Will, I'm doing it with another guy called Mark from another company (based in Shaftsbury) and we will be travelling up togther (to save fuel) to Westernbirt from September, so if you sign up for that one, come and join us, it'll make fuel cheaper and they'll be 3 of us locally who can cheat...... no, I mean, help each other out!

I'll be at westonbirt from 29 sept with treelife. considered the home study but decided i have too many distractions; plus there will be things to look at sample fungi bits of wood and trees etc.

did 5837 today at treelife in leicester and there were quite a few good things to look at (inc. daves daughter in a black dress):001_tt1: sorry dave

I'm doing it next year but its only £600 + exam. thats for 15 colledge days over the year, which I hope to be able to spare. I find the idea of self study a bit scary.

I've applied to do the online course with myerscough, but having done it once before(part time study)i'm wondering whether forking out £690 quid to go over what i've done once,be it 6 years ago, would be wise.Would it be too hard to study myself?Buy more reading material,go through the old exam papers again etc?No doubt it'd be a real pain the the backside just finding what i'd have to cover for the course on my own.Just not filled with hope after hearing a couple of comments on the home study way.

Yorkshire pudding. I was told that the exams are very topical so it might be worth going through the course again as the tutors should have a good idea of whats going to be in the exam. I was told that the new British standard is likely to be a big part of the exam this year, if it is ever finished.

Cheers for that Phenom.

Yeah i'm sure that doing it all again will make perfect sense, but having three lads all with the appetites of starving pirhana's and being the kind of fella who unless he's got something shiney and heavy in his hands after spending that much cash does tend to sulk a little. But i hear what you're saying, sure things have moved on quite a lot since i did it last.

hi, I am starting the Myerscough College ABC AA Technician's Certificate in Arboriculture (on-line learning). I am looking for anyone who is starting the same course through Myerscough or else where who would like to help each other on the way. I am hard working and have been through Uni before so will not be a waste of peoples time. I hope to team up with a few folk or start some topic on this forum site to help get through this course. Cheers Steve
