so-so. Mike would have a better idea than me, but 600 hours is a lot on a TW. Has it had new bearings and a new mainshaft? if not, it will probably need them before long...

Its been re-conditioned....whatever that means? not sure about the bearings, I thought 600 was a lot for a TW as well unless its been very well maintained.

Sorry been on the road. Last 2004 we sold was at £7995 and that wsa from us with about 800 hrs. The main problem with the 190 is the bearings.Have seen these last 500 hrs but have also seen the go a 1000. You need to remove the drive belts (a major task in itself) and then put a big bar under rotor pulley to see if there is any movement. They go along time before they are noticable and design means they fret the rotor not the shaft. Problem is far worse on earlier machines as they had several attempts at getting the right hardness settings for the cast rotor. Not a huge problem because we will re machine the old rotor and resleeve (about £400 for removal, machining and refit). Most TW dealers will try to sell you a new rotor. About £1100 just for the disc. Check the feed rollers are parrellel too. Early 190's had nylon bushes which when grease channels get blocked wear away the metal roller insert. Again cheapest way to repair is machine and sleeve.

Hope this helps. Mike

What do you think?

Double A are a long established Entec / TW dealer and I know them all well. If they say the machine has been fully serviced I would believe them. Try to haggle on the price as it is slightly high. I would also try and push for a 12 month warranty on rotor bearings and rotor. Probably only get 6 months but worth a try.

Regards Mike
