Attention Surfers

Can't lay a claim to the box. Had 2 waves and was terrrified the whole session. Didn't go back again either but I did get 2 screamers.

My claim to surf fame would have to be, being one of the 1st guys to surf silverbacks in Panama. My mate owns part of the Island there now. Last went there 2005. Sick wave.

Not my shot, just one from the web

Reckon not that many people (non pros) would do any better at the Box at triple overhead. If you caught a couple of good ones you deserve to claim it. Would love to get away on a few more surf trips. Funds and work don't really allow it. Only bad thing is coming back and having to get used to the cold again. Took me a while the last time until wave hunger took over.

Ireland on a good day will match anywhere in the world. Just a pity those good days are rare.

Been looking for my photos of the waves that day. I've got one of the box but can't find it just yet. This was a few shots of Margaret River main break I took after I got out. Main break is just a few hundred meters from the box so both were breaking at around the same size.

Was 10 years ago now and at the end of a year of epic surf in OZ
