Pole barn planning !

some one mentiond on here you dont need planning for thes as long as they dont have a solid roof ,is ther a size limit on how big you can build them or does it vary from l/a to l/a

i understand you can cover up to 1000 sq ft without planning (if you're classed as agricultural) built one barn just under that bout 4 years ago... havn't had any comment.

 

just now finished one covering 3000 sq ft, hope no one minds...

 

i also understand if it's there for 4 years with no objection it's ok after that:thumbup1:

if your'e going to be processing and storing in your pole barn then 1000 sq ft not so big when you start getting a fair size heap/stack:001_smile:

 

also thinking bout solid roof, 20' lengths of box profile don't seem that solid to me when you're waving them around in the wind!!

height not factored into sq ft, that'd b cubic ft... the barn in my avatar is the just under 1000 sq ft mentioned earlier, that is 45 x 22 split into 3 bays
