Light Lowering systems

Ok, im building up my own personal kit, and i now have to do a job that 100% requires every thing i take off to be lowered. honeybros is offering a compleate kit for £400 + VAT http://www.honeybros.com/gbu0-prodshow/HB91G.html. i get a 20% merrist wood discount on that is it worth getting a compleat kit like this or buying seprate parts my self, and is this a good price for what im getting?

Aye, he sells alright! Good kit and good prices mostly - he's not the only one but he is a regular on Arbtalk which is nice.

Try Sorbus mate, they took over Fujikura and still supply the same stock, I had a kit from them and it was cock on.

I got a good deal on my lowering kit from H Bros, cant fault it. Plenty of dealers out there tho.

ummm just a small ppoint but why would you be running a 12mm rope through a 16mm pully leading to flattening of the laid and the issues that can cause!!!!

 

Also i would highly reccomend the Buckingham wrap over a standard porta wrap, much moor user friendly.

 

as for kits i love them to start of with first one came from FK now sorbus second i put together from differant sources.

 

with the trade fair at the end ofthe week i think that would be a good time to really bash a deal

im new to rigging systems, so i trusted honeys would put together one that was safe/problem free. yeah im thinking i should try and blag one cheap at the AA fair.
