Did any body see this weeks GD? This bloke built a house in 19 days!

He had what he calls the most efficient wood burner that there is. Ugly looking thing! Any body know what it was?

It was an awesome project even although the stove was pretty ugly!

I've seen a couple of Dowlings Stoves before - they always look a bit err different, but seem to work really well.

 

Good to see an innovative UK company too local business and all that.

19 days! I'm still waiting for a number of things to arrive, you really can't make any progress when you rely on the competence of an outsider company.

 

My builders took 14 days to finish a project that should only take 7...since then I used a company called myhammer and they generally find the most reliable and efficient contraxctors in your area.

 

In fact the only items that arrived on time was my design furniture but what's the use in that when the bloody room is not ready:angryfire:

I saw that the other day. I really liked the chap and his enthusiasm, but unfortunately the house was completely flawed due the cold bridging in the wall. Having a steel I beam with both an external and internal surface means the heat will rush out through them, rendering any further insulation or air tightness useless. Wife's an architect
