Heads Up! MST/Greenmech/Other Demo Day on Nov18th @ Buckfastleigh

Went to the MST machinery exhibition at Westpoint this afternoon and had some banter as you do; quite a bit with Greenmech which I wasn't expecting.

For my purposes, I can see the QuadTrak160 being extremely high on the wish-list given its turntable / tilt ability but more than that, the fact has a towing dolly/trailer which effectively gives you a tracked chipper and road-tow machine all-in-one.

MST apparently told G'mech they'd have a hard time with me since I "hated greenmech" LOL! Just to assure you I'm not a die-hard fan whatsoever and will need convincing just as anyone should.

Anyway, those in the Somerset / Devon / Cornwall area might be interested to know that a chipper (various models) demo day is arranged for November 18th 2010 at Buckfastleigh racecourse.

I think the general idea goes like this - please bring some brash and horrible timber you don't want (I'll start saving all my conifer!) and have a play. There will be food and a few other displays etc...

I am happy to provide transport from Plymouth for upto 4 or so. :001_smile:

i may well pop up , if there is anyone down in cornwall im happy to give you a lift .

any way how come they gave up the Jensen dealership ?

Good question; I'm not entirely convinced it was a Jensen/Redwood "we're fine on our own now thanks" move; bottom line and there's been a load of industry counter-measures like one dealer goes for echo so the other drops them and starts selling stihl to get back at them... :001_rolleyes:

Keith is the man! Proper good bloke he is and behind this demo day; he said he wants a "mountain of brash"! Worthless timber will be easier and less *****-like to shift up the A38 for me!

Yeah, D.Bennet took Entec/TW but not sure that relationship has continued either.

I really was set on a Vermeer but that QT160 has in principal perfect features for me i.e. tracks and dolly.
