Benefits of green infrastructure 2010 - Forest Research Report

Forest Research have just published a report to Defra and CLG (i.e the Govt.) on the benefits of green infrastructure. I've attached the summary and the full report. I've only had a brief scan and there isn't a lot of new information (might be wrong though) but it does bring all the existing tree benefit research together quite nicely.

Might it be wishful thinking to imagine tree/GI benefits finding a place in faciliatating budget cuts whilst improving services such as health? Perhaps...

FR have also set up a new search site to allow better access to GI research.

Really good article so far (only read about climate change and health and well being as i'm off out). Working were i do, i come across a plethora of people who ALL seem to whinge about their trees and their negative factors that affect there lives. The health and well being side brings up all sorts of positive feedback and information to possible try and change opinions (well in an idealistic world anyway)!
