I received a news update from The Children's Trust today advising that they have been shortlisted for this year's Charity of the Year award! This is brilliant news and the very best of luck to them...they do a wonderful job and it's lovely to think that due to the continued support from Arbtalkers, we're doing our little bit to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. :)

The winner of this award is decided by votes cast by employees of the sponsors, Credit Suisse and Computacenter. If you know anybody who works for either of these companies, you could perhaps ask them to put their vote in the Children's Trust direction and help them win.

Here's the details from their email:

We are thrilled to share with you that The Children's Trust is through to the final round for Credit Suisse and Computacenter to select their Charity of the Year! We would love you to spread the word and ask anyone who knows someone at either company to vote for us! Every vote really does counts and we need your help to get as many votes as possible.

So please encourage everyone you know at Credit Suisse and Computacenter to vote for The Children’s Trust or pass on to friends/family that might know someone.

Help make a big difference and make every vote count!

The opportunities are fantastic and would make life changing differences to some of the UK’s most vulnerable children. Just think, every pound we receive will help to improve the lives of children who have suffered a brain injury and leave a life time legacy. For example, £5,000 could equip and furnish a bedroom in the new family block for which we are raising money.

Children like Samantha (pictured above) need your vote. Can you help?

Three reasons why The Children's Trust needs employees at Credit Suisse and Computacenter to vote!

1. Vote for The Children's Trust and change children's lives now and for generations to come. With your help we can reach thousands of children with a severe brain injury. With your help we can deliver vital new services and give better support for families when they need it the most.

2. Vote to be part of an amazing team. Not only will you change children's lives forever, you will also have fun getting involved with our innovative and creative fundraising. An achievement we know you will be proud of.

3. Children with a severe brain injury from all over the UK are counting on your vote. Children like Molly, who at the age of 6 had a massive brain haemorrhage that left her with profound disabilities - unable to walk, talk or swallow. Thanks to the specialist care at The Children’s Trust, Molly is now back at school and has just started Brownies.
