Solo Chainsaws?

Is this make any good? Advertised as a 'professional' brand but I'd never heard of them till recently.

Would you be better sticking to the well known brands at this kind of price level? Stuff like spares, servicing and re-sale value concern me.

im pretty sure they are exactly the same as the makita saws/dolmars. if sothey are good saws.

the 66cc version got a pretty good review in this months forestry Journal and the 80cc one is only marginally heavier, outsides are similar to Dolmar/Makita but the internals are different

i had a look at them at the apf they seemed heavy, reminded me of the efco range.

Been in the US since the year DOT - produced some very famous saws.

the makita dcs9010 90cc looks a better saw.

 

i can get 40% off list - so its not far off the same price

FORGET the 9010 - it's seriously well made thus it weighs an absolute ton. I had one and it was horrendous. Unbreakable but obese and not that pokey for the cc.
