Do you find that the sides are high enougth to chip into without going every where.

Sides are ok. I got a metre of the top covered at the front to keep chips in altho you still lose some when the box gets over half full. I think that the only way to stop that is to have a fully enclosed box with your chipper shoot pokeing through a hole at the back, but I didn't want that.
