Stretch air Gladiator

Either way, the flys will break!!! 6 pairs now and they have all gone bang!!! Now on oregan fiordlands and they seem good so far. Stretch airs are also very warm.

 

 

Had a pair of normal stretch airs for a year and half. Zip never broke. Only problem was the 'stretch' went out of the seat, so it looked like I was wearing a nappy all the time! Would'nt have another pair of the gladiators but at the moment would have another pair of the normal ones.

Zips closed on washing, i am a 33 waste and have had the smalls and a medium, tried with braces and belts, they just go at the bottom. One pair the zip was good but it tore a hole in the material next to it. The trousers and material are great but could really do with a complete redesign. We took one pair to a local seamstress and she said they were not great zips, £10 later and she had stuck an agricultural zip in and to date those havent failed.

I do like the trousers but everytime i use them whilst climbing i fill my boxers full of saw dust, it just aint nice!!!

I like the gladiator type A's been in them for over a year now,type c's i found too hot but out of all my saw trousers these have lasted the longest,had 4 pairs of klimba airs wich i found comfy but many zip and stitching probs,tried to replace my current gladiators with the new sipps but found the sipps far too hot in comparison so i will stick with the gladiators untill i can afford another pair of stretch airs.

Are you guys climbing the type A gladiator's? you say they are less stretchy but are they still good to climb in, i'm not worried about the lack of all round protection

I am don't really find them a problem at all , I seem to wear any thing I climb in unusually fast so anything that lasts a bit longer is a benifit , didn't really find them restrictive and they have other features like boot hooks that are a plus point for me in choosing climbing trousers and the tye a's are not that warm compared to others on the Market.

I've got a pair of the O Fiordlands, and what a disappointment they were. I have now removed the large side pocket as the wound dressing wore the bottom of the pocket away. The fabric is very poor quality, certainly not up to the rigours of the forestry woodland or arb sectors, it tears so so easily even on a bramble!! I cannot think of anything positive to say about them, bar the fact that the zip hasnt broken.....yet. I have had them around 6months, though possibly worn them for a total of 3. They look in worse condition now than my oldest pair of Stretches did when I binned them. They maybe suitable for the occasional saw-user, but have no place in the professional world I'm afraid.
