Presuming they would be chesnut they would only be avaliable to woodburners as chesnut spits. as for a price im not sure its something ive never had to decide and i always forget the firm i work fors prices.

1 50 a bag?

the reason i ask, is a lot of the new posts are still green and have been dipped in wood preserve, so not ideal for firewood. If they are older ones then they will be very dry and burn extremely quick:biggrin:

anything sells at the right price BUT that type of stuff is at the bottom of the chain, you would spend all day throwing it on the fire and then fishing nails and staples out your grate lol. There are a lot of people doing firewood now and the public/customers are very well educated in the diference between good and bad, they will be reading this thread as we type, this site gets thousands of hits a day from firewood users so it is up to us as suppliers to sell top quality stuff.:thumbup1:

I'd go with the advice above.

We remove hundreds of old fence posts most weeks and cant really do much with them. If they have been pressure treated or tanalised they become fairly redundant as far as firewood in my opinion.

Once they start to burn they emit some rather potent chemicals- not great in a wood or multi-stove and not very good at all on an open fire....

Some poeple I know just say get on with it and burn them, but not for me..:001_huh:
