Looking at a sycamore tree the other day and noticed at the base of the trunk and then further up lots of littl`ish white dots and some with little brown dots on them. Just curious as to what this could be.

My gut feeling tells me its some tiny insects of some sort. can anyone give me abit more info on this? Dont have any pics of it im afraid.

Cheers :001_cool:

That sounds like it fits the bill. Especially as there are a few dead trees near them that are not affected and from that whatever it is lives of feeding live sap. Im just trying to find some photos so i can confirm it for sure. Thanks for posting that up.
