Yeah its a new series, the climber is good although looked a bit hairy when he was felling and logging for charcoal in the first series, saw was at arms length etc etc...did anyone else think the same?

Dont know what I was expecting, perhaps someththing more than that, stuff that I didnt already know. I dont want to decry the contribution the show makes to arboriculture, but I was picking holes the whole way thru; My job is nothing like that ?

It seems to me like the fella that does the climbing is under the impression that he is the only person in the country climbing trees for a living! I think he's climbed for Kew since he was an apprentice so he's very lucky to have worked on so many nice species and good locations.. maybe I'm just jealous! The chap in charge is from Blackburn I think.

Don't get me wrong, the programme is doing a lot of good by bringing an awareness of arboriculture to the public. Telly needs more stuff like this.

I can understand what u are saying but the program is made for Joe Public, not Mr Arborist.

We all want more public awareness so IMO it is all good press.

It would be nice to see a series like this finish off with a "Week in the life of an Arborist" type program to help Joe Public get a better understanding of our role and promote the use of qualified contractors.

Cool...I hope it paves the way for more programs about arboriculture. It did not set out to define arboriculture, or at least that was not the feeling I got from it and I dont think that woukd be a good thing anyway. I will be watching the rest of the series with interest for sure!!

I think that if it can even slightly educate the public or spark interest in trees then its got to be a good thing! I'm fed up of hearing 'I like trees but...'
