Transit chipbox and general rescue

Had this thing sitting around for best part of a year not really doing alot whilst subbing, MOT's come roubnd and it was decision time so instead of scrapping it I decided to get my act together and turn it into a decent truck, steel chip box and loads of new panels and paint, missed the early stages as i lost my phone but heres a few pics so far.

Good work. Makes me feel a lot better about my polished turd of a truck!!

 

My top tip would be to remove the rear lights and stick them on under the tipper so they don't get damaged when tippign logs off. Again! (looks like its had a new rear light board fitted probably for this very reason.

Thanks, I think The light board is the stock one, I just cleaned all the rust off it and re painted it, seems to have worked

How would I mount the lights under the tipper, just mak up some brackets and weld them on? Or i could make up some guards for them.

I was being complimentary, honest.

 

If that the original lightboard then maybe its fine as it is, just looked like some effort had gone inot replacing it (another complimnet there perhaps)

 

Gaurds over the light would probably do.

 

I made some brackets and put mine under the tipper body so don't need to worry about them at all now. I also just cut off the old bent light board.
