Trailer test in my opinion is just a rip off. Guy who is borrowing my horse box for the test is making his 6th attempt today. He is not that bad at using a trailer but has got into bad driving habits which after driving around for 1 hour on the roads are highlighted. Even changed test centres to make it easier for him. Pleased I dont have to take a test.

Hi matt,

a mate of mine thought he was towing a chipper less than 750kg for over a year with a normal driving licence and the police finally cought up with him and corrected him... not to mention the full load on board.

its alot of money but once its done its done! Cat C then C+E it is then... :001_tt2: better get the old highway code out and brush up on a few things!!

cheers for the help

If you are going to do C then C+E bin the highway code and go and buy the CD rom its about 25 quid but you can take as many mock theory tests as you like. it worked for me.

Doesn't sound like a rip off to me sounds like it's keeping somebody of the roads that doesn't meet prescribed standards........ Or maybe he's unlucky.

IMO we ought to be retested or made to do an update or something similar every five years or so. Driver training is never wasted IMO.
