level 2 qualifications

hi does anyone know if i can get a qualification in arb if i already have a level 2 in forestry ?? would really love to get climbing tickets and experience but not sure if i can go for the level 2 in arb

nowt wrong wiv that, most guys at my old college did the nd forestry and then the nd arb later.

 

although you can just as easily go for nptc's

Why not just get the NPTC certs that you need to do the job and then take the ISA Certified Arborist exam. It'll certainly be cheaper in the long run.

i could do a short course for cs 38 &39 ......but i would really like the underpinning knowledge to go with it ......

Hi, Both of these have been mentioned, RFS cert arb or ISA arborist are worth looking into, either will give you a decent grounding of the subject. Try doing a search on this forum, you are not the first to ask. good luck:thumbup1:
